The directorial debut of LEGO stop-motion animator Chris Bakyaw is here. Inspiring and honoring the roots of “The Magic Portal”, one of the first ever brickfilms in history, “The Portal” is a dark and scientific twist of the original epic. Jake Hansen (Chris Hillebrandt), a CEO assistant of Polis Technologies, developed a portal that lets anyone travel across the multiverse. However, a CES presentation of the device goes horribly wrong, malfunctioning and awakening the Interferers, an evil alien race destined to ruin every universe imaginable. DISCLAIMER: The presentation will NOT include the full, final cut of the film. Due to technical difficulties with the file of the final cut, we will only be able to show a majority fraction of the film. The presentation will begin with four original short films, followed by the rough cut. After the feature, a brief filmmaker's note will provide additional insight to the production, including information regarding lost footage and story elements originally planned for the final cut.
